Dead epiphytes..
I am writing this whilst in the midst of an ear-splitting thunderstorm; it will be easy to forget that Singapore has just experienced the driest period in living memory. Meanwhile, the UK is recovering from the wettest and it seems the US has been the coldest. Climate change is real but how do we articulate our sense of loss? Zadie Smith does so brilliantly in the April edition of NY review of books, entitled Elegy for a Country’s Seasons
